Distillation

Distillation is the process in which water is boiled (1) until it turns to steam (2). As the steam rises it leaves behind biological impurities, particulate and inorganic contaminants. The pure steam then enters a condenser (3) where it is cooled and turned back into water. The distilled water then passes through activated carbon (4) to remove any low boiling (volatile) organic chemicals.

Distillation kills harmful bacteria and viruses, removes virtually all foreign particles, inorganic mineral salts, heavy metals, chlorine and organic chemicals.
